What is ComiXpo? ComiXpo (a.k.a. Comics Expo Australia) is a fan-to-fan retro based pop culture organisation dedicated to creating awareness of, and appreciation for, comics and related popular entertainment, primarily through the presentation of toy fairs, conventions, and events that celebrate the historic and ongoing contribution of comics to art and culture.

When is ComiXpo? ComiXpo runs twice yearly. Our next event, ComiXpo 5.0, will be held on Sunday 4 March 2018 at the Matthew Flinders Hotel, Chadstone which has plenty of free car parking and is close to public transport. The event will open at 10am and run all day through to 5pm. Entry is only $5 per person with all cosplayers and children (twelve and under) admitted free.

Who is ComiXpo? ComiXpo is Australia’s most exciting destination for pop culture fans. Held twice each year, each ComiXpo boasts a show room packed with exhibitors, cosplay competitions, family fun, music, video, and much more. ComiXpo is a joint enterprise conceived by Brad Webb and Brendan Pearse. The event is run by Network Creative Services Pty Ltd with over forty years combined event management experience.

What are your hours? ComiXpo is open 10:00am (9:30am for VIPs) to 5:00pm on event day.

What can I expect? ComiXpo has something for everyone. The main areas we feature at the event are various forms of gaming, comics, movie, television, animation, cosplay and costuming.

How do I buy tickets? You can purchase tickets online (with no booking fees) using PayPal or direct bank deposit or alternatively you can buy them at the door from 10:00am on the day of the event.

Does my child need a ticket? Unlike other comic-cons we do NOT charge children to attend our events. All children twelve (12) years and under are admitted free.

If I’m in costume do I have to pay to get in? No. All cosplayers get in for FREE at all our ComiXpo events. It’s our way of saying thanks for being part of the show!

Can I use my own camera at the event? Yes! Take as many photos as you like. Bear in mind if you are photographing children in cosplay you will need their parent’s permission.

Will I be on camera if I attend? ComiXpo attracts local, national and international press to each event. In purchasing your ticket and in consideration for being admitted to the event, the holder consents to being recorded (by audio, visual and/or other means) for exhibition and exploitation by any means in all media now known or hereafter devised worldwide in perpetuity. Holder also hereby: (1) releases Network Creative Services Pty Ltd from any liability for loss or damage to persons or property, infringement of any right or any other claim or course of action of any kind; (2) authorises and permits Network Creative Services Pty Ltd and its designees which include but are not limited to all sponsors, exhibitors and contractors to use and authorise the use of his/her name, voice, likeness and all reproductions thereof by any means and in all media now and hereafter know for all purposes worldwide in perpetuity; and (3) agrees to comply with all rules and regulations of the event. We reserve the right to deny entry or remove from the event facilities any person who in our sole and absolute discretion is behaving or threatening to behave in a manner which we reasonably consider to be disruptive of the event.
